This past year, we continued to help the Maloney family as their twins finished their chemo and went home to Deer Creek.   The Long family have become dear friends and Morgan is recovering from her latest brain surgery.  This past week we were able  to ease some financial burden of Lon and Heidi Ihry whose premature baby, Kambry was born with a congential diaphragmatic hernia.  This illness is so rare, they needed to leave everything behind and travel to Colorado for medical attention.  Please pray for Kambry and her family that she continues to make progress and they can be reunited again soon.  To read their story, visit kambrygrace.weebly.com

Save the date!!  Friday, November 7th, 2014 at 7pm at the new Raddison Blu, Mall of America for our 3rd Annual Cocktail Party!

Today, we learned about Gage and Jace Maloney, twins that were born on August 12, 2013 with neuroblastoma. Their parents and 20 month old sister are from Deer Creek, MN, 3 hours north of the twin cities. Nadia’s Gift was able to donate gas and grocery gift cards to help them with their stay at the Ronald McDonald House. You can follow their story at caringbridge.org/visit/gageandjacemaloney

We are blessed to meet the Long family from Duluth, MN. Their daughter Morgan has been battling a brain tumor for over 15 years and continues her fight courageously. You can follow their story at caringbridge.org/visit/morganlong

On that same day, we learned about Collin Frye and his family. Five year old Collin was being hospitalized for lukemia when his mother, who had just given birth, was also diagnosed with cancer. Nadia’s Gift was able to make a financial contribution to help them with their transportation and food costs. You can read their story at caringbridge.org/visit/collinfrye, site password, collin.

Nadia’s Gift DIPG Patient Assistance Fund of $10,000 is now established and ready for use by social work to help families in Dr. Moertel’s clinical trial as well as those who come to U of M Amplatz Children’s Hospital for treatment.

We served our first meal at the Ronald McDonald House at Gillette Children’s Hospital in St. Paul. This is just one way to support families whose children are faced with a severe illness or condition and are away from home. We would like to participate for the Cook-For-Kids program monthly, so if you would like to volunteer or donate please contact us.

We would like to thank all who attended our cocktail party & silent auction on November 10, 2012 and to all who made kind donations to our cause . Our first fundraiser turned out to be a great success and managaed to raise $20,000! We appreciate your support and we look forward to seeing you at our next event!
